On 7 June 2024, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, H.E. Ms. Sasirit Tangulrat, Director-General of Department of South Asian, Middle East, and African Affairs welcomed H.E. Mr. Darkey Ephraim Africa, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Thailand as he paid a courtesy call on the Director-General on her assumption of duty.   

            During the meeting, both sides reiterated their readiness to enhance Thailand and South Africa bilateral relations in all dimensions and also expressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of the relations including exchanges of high level visit. The authorities concerned of both sides are now forging cooperation and exchange of best practices in areas of mutual interest such as port management, correctional practices and public health.
