On 6 August 2024, H.E. Miss Sasirit Tangulrat, Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, welcomed representatives from Thai trees export companies, namely Dr. Narong Wongdaeng, CEO of Advance Energy Solution Co., Ltd; Mr. Charoen Ngoenchan, CEO of Siam Ray Intertrade; and Mr. Santi Chumcheun, General Manager of ASEAN Farm LLC.
           On this occasion, both sides exchanged views on Thailand's potential and opportunities to export trees to Saudi Arabia, in alignment with the Saudi Green Initiative which aims to plant 1 billion trees by 2030 to increase green spaces in Saudi Arabia. In this regards, the Director-General also emphasized the readiness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as the Royal Thai Embassy and Consulate General in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support Thai private sectors in expanding their market in Saudi Arabia as one of the ten strategic countries under the current Thai Government’s policy.
