On 14 May 2026, H.E. Mrs. Urasa Mongkolnavin, Director-General, Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, met with H.E. Mr. Dhan Bahadur Oli, Ambassador of Nepal to Thailand at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.

Both sides explored  ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of trade and investment, culture and tourism, consular affairs, and development cooperation, especially on agriculture and human resource development. The meeting also touched upon the possibility of convening the 6^th Thailand - Nepal Joint Commission (JC) in the near future.  

In addition, both sides welcomed the formation of each other’s new government in March, and reiterated the continued commitment to working closely together to further enhance cooperation and strengthen the cordial relations between the two countries.
