On 5 May 2026, Mrs. Urasa Mongkolnavin, Director-General, Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, met with H.E. Mr. Abdulrahman Abdulaziz Alsuhaibani, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Thailand.  Both sides discussed the situation in the Middle East as well as the safety of Thai nationals in Saudi Arabia, including Thai pilgrims who will undertake the Hajj during May-June this year.  They also exchanged views on bilateral relations, covering political, economic, and investment cooperation.
