On 4 June 2026, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand received a courtesy call by the delegation from the National Defence College of India, led by Major General Awinder Pal Singh Bal, Senior Directing Staff.

On this occasion, the Deputy Permanent Secretary gave a briefing on Thailand’s foreign policy and the outlook for Thailand - India relations underpinned by long-standing and close civilizational and cultural ties, providing strong foundations for expanded cooperation in a wide range of areas, including political engagements, trade and investment, security and defence, tourism, people-to-people exchanges, as well as in multilateral fora. Both sides also exchanged views on developments in the global geopolitics and key regional issues.
