On 17 September 2025, The Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, in collaboration with the Institute of Asian Studies and the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University, organised the event “Central Asia Day in Bangkok” which aimed to promote greater awareness among the Thai public of the relations between Thailand and Central Asian countries, as well as to highlight opportunities for future cooperation in areas such as tourism, trade and investment, education, and people-to-people contacts. Present at the event were President of Chulalongkorn University, Ambassador attached to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Thailand, and Consul-General of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Thailand.

The Representatives of the Embassies, Consulate-General of Central Asian countries, namely Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and the Kyrgyz Republic, participated in the event by organizing country booths and exhibitions dedicated to showcasing their nations. They also presented national performances and local cuisines for the participants. In addition, students from the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University, performed songs and recited poems by renowned Central Asian artists.
