Mr. Ardasher Qodiri, Ambassador of Tajikistan to Thailand (resident in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) during his visit to Thailand, between 4 - 9 February 2024.

During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields such as trade and investment, culture,  people-to-people contact, exchanges of high-level visit, as well as explore the possibility to establish new agreements on culture, agriculture, and healthcare between the two countries. Tajikistan invited the Thai side to organise a Thai Cultural Fair and Thai Trade Exhibition in Dushanbe in the near future. These two events will help raise awareness of Thai culture and merchandise among the Tajik public and the Central Asian region.

Thailand and Tajikistan have enjoyed close and cordial relations since the establishment of the diplomatic relations in 1992, with both countries having celebrated the 30th anniversary in 2022. Tajikistan stands as Thailand's potential partner in Central Asia in terms of the numbers of Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) and Agreements signed between the two nations, and has great prospective in trade and investment, especially in renewable energy and mining sector.
