His Excellency the Ambassador of the State of Eritrea to Thailand with residence in New Delhi pays a courtesy call on His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand

On 31 July 2026, His Excellency Mr. Alem Tsehaye Woldemariam, Ambassador of the State of Eritrea to Thailand, with residence in New Delhi paid a courtey call on His Excellency Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand. In attendence were also His Excellency Mr. Arthayudh Srisamoot, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Urasa Mongkolnavin, Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), and Mr. Soonthorn Kengvibul, Honorary Consul for the State of Eritrea to Thailand.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs underscored the importance of the Thailand–Africa Initiative as a key policy framework for strengthening and expanding Thailand’s cooperation with African countries. Both sides agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation and advance issues of mutual interest, including supporting each other in the international fora. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed Thailand’s continued readiness to promote development cooperation through the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA)’s human resource development programmes, including scholarships and training courses aimed at improving quality of life and promoting sustainable economic and social development. He also invited the Eritrean side to identify additional areas of cooperation in which Thailand could contribute to Eritrea’s national development efforts.
