On 11 February 2026, Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, attended a reception on the National Day and the 47th Anniversary of the Victory of the Islamic Revolution of the Islamic Republic of Iran as the Guest of Honour.

In her remarks, the Deputy Permanent Secretary highlighted the long-standing ties between Thailand and Iran which date back more than four centuries, the role of the peoples serving as a bridge connecting the two countries, and the continued efforts of both governments to promote mutually beneficial cooperation across a wide range of areas through various bilateral mechanisms.
