On 29 June 2026, H.E. Ms. Sirilak Niyom, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Thailand, attended a reception celebrating the 500 Years of Mughal Heritage of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan at Amari Hotel Bangkok.

On this occasion, the Deputy Permanent Secretary delivered opening remarks alongside H.E. Ms. Rukhsana Afzaal, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Thailand. She extended congratulations on this special occasion and highlighted the contributions of Mughal civilisation to art, architecture, and cultural exchange across Asia. The Deputy Permanent Secretary also noted that the influence of Mughal heritage continues to be reflected across Southeast Asia, including in Thailand through the architectural styles of several mosques, underscoring the role of culture in connecting peoples and societies. She further emphasised that Thailand and Pakistan should seize the opportunity of the 75th  Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations this year to further strengthen cooperation across various fields for the mutual benefit of the peoples of both countries.
