On 24 May 2023, Mr. Maher Shakhatreh, President of the Jordan-Thailand Friendship Association (JTFA) and members of the JTFA paid a courtesy call on Mr. Sake Nopthaisong, Deputy Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East, and African Affairs.

Both sides discussed ways to promote trade and investment cooperation between Thailand and Jordan and hope that the JTFA’s visit to ThaiFEX – Anuga Asia 2023 will be an opportunity to explore halal food industry and expand Thai products to Jordanian markets.

Furthermore, both sides emphasized the cordial relationship between Thailand and Jordan. The Deputy Director-General thanked the Jordan-Thailand Friendship Association for its significant role in promoting various activities of the Royal Thai Embassy in Amman and enhancing people-to-people connectivity.
