On 5 November 2024, Mr. Pongprach Makchang, Deputy Director-General, Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, and officials from Middle East Division met with Dr. Prasert Suksaskawin, Dean of Faculty of Public Administration and Director of Iran and Persian Language Studies Centre, Siam Technology College. Both sides discussed ways to promote cooperation between the Department and the Centre, in particular collaborative events and activities to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Islamic Republic of Iran in 2025. On this occasion, Deputy Director-General Pongprach Makchang and the officials also visited the Centre and were briefed on its operation and activities.
