On 5 January 2024, at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Bangkok, His Excellency Mr. Worawoot Pongprapapant, Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, signed the book of condolences on the explosions in Kerman city in the Islamic Republic of Iran on 3 January 2024 which resulted in the loss of lives and injuries of over 100 innocent people. Thailand joins the international community in condemning such senseless attacks and stands in solidarity with the Government and the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran during this difficult time.
