On 27 May 2025, H.E. Ms. Sasirit Tangulrat, Director-General, Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, hosted a working lunch in honour of Dr. Hammed Al-Jubouri, Director-General, Department of Asia and Australia, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iraq, on the occasion of his visit to Thailand.

            Both sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations, especially the re-opening of embassies, the establishing of the Thailand - Iraq Political Consultations, the 4^th Thailand - Iraq Joint Trade Committee, as well as exchanges between the private sectors and peoples. These efforts are part of a shared commitment to deepen cooperation as Thailand and Iraq prepare to commemorate the 70^th anniversary of the diplomatic relations next year.
