On 27 November 2024, H.E. Mr. Nassereddin Heidari, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Kingdom of Thailand, met with H.E. Ms. Sasirit Tangulrat, Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East, and African Affairs, to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations, including joint collaboration to commemorate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Iran in 2025 to promote cooperation in various fields like academic, cultural, and people-to-people contact.
